Abstract
When a food truck selling ice cream whoopie pies parks in front of Hank Wolowitz’s family’s ice cream shop, Hank and his invisible bandapat are willing to try whatever it takes to regain lost customers. In this third installment in the Invisible Inkling series, Hank works to support his family’s business, comforts his invisible friend through loneliness and indigestion, and navigates the complexities of young friendships. The final “victory” in the whoopie pie war is unexpected yet fitting, and serves to underscore Hank’s growing maturity.
