Abstract
Deep in the stretching shadows, a dingo (wild dog) waits. This story follows the dingo as she rises from her rest and leaves her five little pups with her mate. Dusk is a busy time; a time for hunting. The dingo mother runs softly through the forest, sniffing the air for prey. She passes other animals of the bush: possum, wombat, lizard, and kangaroo in her hunt. She moves softly, but swift and sure, so that she is able to bring home food to feed her young family.
