Abstract
The Island of Quill is a peculiar place where all creativity is sent to die. Every year, the people of Quill send all the too-creative thirteen-year-old children to the island. Alex Stowe makes his peace with the elimination process, says good-bye to his twin brother Aaron and his parents, and prepares himself to never see them again. As the doors close behind him, shutting him off from the city of Quill, he prepares himself for elimination. Yet, instead of finding a ‘death farm’ on the island, what reveals itself to Alex is a magical place called Artime, where creativity is not only accepted but encouraged. This book follows Alex’s progression of creativity through art and magic.
