Abstract
Harold takes a walk on a blank canvas with his purple crayon. He then takes the necessary precautions to take care of himself: he draws light when he cannot see, a boat when he’s in high water, and a picnic when he gets hungry. However, when Harold discovers he is lost, he draws a hill, a hot air balloon, and a police officer to help him make his way home. He is not sure he will ever find his room again, but perhaps his purple crayon can still help him.
