Abstract
Who says biographies have to be serious or drab? Certainly not Kathleen Krull or Paul Brewer! Their colorful picture book biography The Beatles Were Fab (and They Were Funny) tells of the journey that four lads from Liverpool take from a simple group of musicians to an international sensation. The book takes the reader through the naming of the band, writing of the songs, and learning to deal with their newfound fame at home and abroad. Although the book is filled with funny anecdotes and tales from the band’s history, it also describes the difficult effects that fame had on the musicians which led them to stop performing.
