Abstract
Felix isn’t like anyone else on the planet. That’s because Felix was fused with a fourth-dimensional being, Zyx, when he was three years old. But now the scientists say that unless he and this being are separated, they both might die. Felix Yz is written in diary form that tracks the month before the procedure will take place. Felix shares his fears and his hopes, as well as the history behind his condition. Not only is Felix coping with the stress of not knowing if he or Zyx will survive the procedure, he is also confronting his feelings for a boy in his class. When the day finally arrives, Felix finds the courage to face his fears and bids farewell to Zyx forever, but knows they will always be connected.
