Abstract
This tender book is a beautiful read-aloud to share with a loved one. The narrator of the book lists a series of wishes for the unidentified subject, each accompanied by a charming and quirky illustration that perfectly matches the text. On the page reading, “I wish you more tippy-toes than deep,” for example, a bright spread of spiked swimming pool “waves” spans the whole of the two pages, with a cheerful little boy’s nose peeking up over the tips of them. A slightly smaller brightly colored picture book with lovely glossy pages and a happy message, children would be as eager to pick this out as their sentimental reader.
