Abstract
It was the bottom of the ninth inning, with the game tied between the Miami Marlins and the Seattle Mariners. Giancarlo stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded. Earlier in the game, he missed a throw that cost his team two runs. This was his chance to make it up to his team. The pitch came flying in, but Giancarlo hit it with a smack out of the ballpark past the left field fence. Giancarlo hit the game-winning homerun! With a love of baseball that started from a young age, Giancarlo Stanton has risen to become the player with the biggest contract in the history of team sports. After playing in the minor leagues for three years, Stanton made his Major League debut in 2010. Even after dealing with several major injuries, he has won several awards for both his fielding and batting abilities, and has become one of baseball’s biggest stars.
