Abstract
Elmer the patchwork elephant just wants a nice relaxing day, but some of the other elephants want to play a trick on him. They go to a snake, who convinces them to tell Elmer that he looks pale and needs to lie down. Snake then tells Elmer he will cover Elmer in white mud. So, after the animals tell Elmer that he looks pale, Elmer lays down and snake keeps adding more and more white mud. The elephants become so worried that they go back to snake to see what to do. Snake tells them to tickle Elmer. When they do, Elmer's white mud falls off.
