Abstract

A young child invites the reader into the village. Readers are introduced to the local sites (limited though they may be, the child's pride in everything is conveyed), to fed-up Mum, and most importantly to the rickety, rumbly homemade bike that is this child's pride and joy. The children take the readers for a ride and share their joy in this treasure.
