Abstract
Having a best friend isn’t always easy, but it is always worth the struggle. After an argument with his best friend, a boy tries to become best friends with a dog, a cat, a goldfish, and a hamster. Although they are fun to play with for a brief amount of time, he realizes they do not have enough in common to be best friends. My Best Friend Is a Goldfish teaches the importance of sticking with our friends through thick and thin.
