Abstract

Danny and Clover are best friends with a special connection. They do everything together and it’s almost like they can read each other’s minds! They have different strengths and weaknesses that balance out almost perfectly. Together, it’s like magic. All of a sudden, Danny gets sick - really sick. Clover is the only one who can help him feel better. Being near her relieves his symptoms, but he continues to get worse and the doctors can’t figure out what wrong. Determined to save her best friend, Clover tries everything she can think of to find a cure, even sneaking him off to a clinic in Vermont. In the end, even her magic can’t save him and she’s forced to say goodbye.
