Abstract

When the class takes a trip to the Zoo, Pinkalicious wants to see the pink parakeet that she read about in her bird book. Her teacher, Ms. Penny, warns her that they are very rare, so she shouldn’t be disappointed if she doesn’t see one. Pinkalicious doesn’t see a pink parakeet and is sad. But soon the class realizes that the pink parakeet is in Ms. Penny’s jacket hood! The pink parakeet escapes and Pinkalicious and her classmates searched for it. Then she remembers that her bird book says pink parakeets like fruit and bird baths. They are able to attract the bird and return it safely to its home.
