Abstract
Nick and Maxine are two young, curious siblings who just moved into a new apartment building. Soon after they move in, they notice a cute little house behind their building. They venture out and knock on the door and meet a talking cat! Mrs. Noodlekugel is the owner of the little house and invites them in. They are introduced to Mr. Fuzzface, the cat, and four far-sighted mice. In the end, Mrs. Noodlekugel becomes their new babysitter and they drink tea with her and eat cookies made with the help of the far-sighted mice! Mrs. Noodlekugel is a fun book that is perfect for children who are new to chapter books. There is at least one illustration on each page spread. This book has ten short chapters that will keep children entertained to the very end. There is just enough suspense at the beginning and the ending will leave you on the edge of your chair and excited for another book from this series! This fantastical story might remind you of the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle series.
