Abstract
This classic children’s book follows the story sequence of Brown Bear and the things that he and the other animals see. Brown Bear sees a Red Bird, who sees a Yellow Duck, who sees a Blue Horse, and on and on until it’s the children who look back and see all the animals (and even their teacher). With the 50th Anniversary Edition, children can listen and read along as Gwyneth Paltrow interprets this fun story. Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle start their Brown Bear series with this first classic Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? With a steady rhythm that compels this story to be read aloud, children, teachers, and parents will love to read this book repeatedly. The story also couples as a color primer as each animal is introduced and identified by a different color. Eric Carle achieves his distinct illustrative style by layering his own painted paper to create the Brown Bear look.
