Abstract
Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel have one day left to live and they decide to spend it by fighting off the monsters on Alcatraz to save San Francisco. They have many immortals and Elders fighting with them including Mars, Niten, Machiavelli, and Billy the Kid. During the fight they realize not all of them will survive the night, but it means saving the world from the monsters and destruction. They eventually defeat the monsters, but at great cost. Although they are all immortal or Elder, each character feels the effects of aging due to using their auras for too long. Sophie and Josh are coming to terms with the fact that their parents are actually from Danu Talis. Their parents Osiris and Isis want them to rule Danu Talis, but Sophie and Josh are starting to realize that something is very wrong. The more and more they discover, the more they realize that Osiris and Isis aren't their parents. They now have a decision to make. One to destroy the world and one to save it. One world must die for the other to survive. Josh stays behind to destroy Danu Talis so that the Earth can live on. Sophie survives with Scatty and others. Josh survives as well, but becomes Marethyu, Death. The Earth is no longer in danger, and everyone is saved.
