Abstract
Count Olaf has come up with a scheme to get the Baudelaire fortune by casting them in his new play The Marvelous Wedding. He plans on using it to be married to Violet and obtain their fortune. To make sure Violet says yes and Klaus doesn't call the police, Count Olaf takes Sunny and locks her in a cage. Klaus gets to work trying to find a way to stop it, but nothing seems to be working; Count Olaf is always one step ahead. Violet tries to rescue Sunny from the tower, only to be caught. At the end of the play, Klaus has found a way out of their predicament. Violet signed the marriage license with the wrong hand, so it's not legal. Mr. Poe then realizes how dangerous Count Olaf is and takes them away to their 'uncle' Montgomery Montgomery. The Baudelaires' parents are now in a prison trying to escape, not knowing what is happening to their children.
