Abstract

This story pays tribute to the many first experiences that a child has growing up and the experiences of new parents. It begins with the their baby's first smile, and then the baby grows with each new page of the story. He is the first to learn to blow kisses, crawl, make snow angels, and many other things. The book ends suggesting that he may not be the only one to do all those things, but he will always be the first.
