Abstract

Amelia Bedelia’s literal humor returns in this book about her childhood. Amelia Bedelia’s class goes on a field trip to the library. What fun! The librarian Mrs. Reilly gives the children a tour and tells them the library rules. The children’s section is a great place for them to find books that they can check out. They all receive their first library cards and check out books. Amelia Bedelia takes her book home but forgets it outside, then it starts to rain. Amelia Bedelia learns how to be a responsible library patron and how to make everything right in the end.
