Abstract
Sewing is not only a practical skill, but its fun to do and this lighthearted introduction captures both of those purposes. The basics are first clearly outlined teaching readers how to thread a needle and showing them how to sew a running stitch and a back-stitch. From there ten simple and fun projects allow readers to practice their skills to make stuffed animals, bags, water bottle holders, and accessories. The step by step photographs and text explanations break each project down into its component parts while still allowing for readers to apply their own creative touches.
