Abstract

When this article was published in 1966, the alliance between Communist China and the Soviet Union was quickly unraveling as China competed for expansion and dominance. Here a Brigham Young University political science professor discusses the international policies of both countries, describing how China and the Soviet Union interacted with Asian, African, and Latin American countries during the height of the Cold War.
