Abstract
Because of the interest of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Native American affairs, Brigham Young University organized an Institute for Indian Studies. This institute concerns itself with Native Americans from all parts of the Americas and has collaborated with government agencies, Native American tribes, and the LDS Church's Indian Committee to promote Native American interests and provide service.
