Abstract
Henry William Bigler (1815-1900) never held any high position in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, though he was a member of the church for over sixty years. He was a member of the Mormon Battalion, was present at Sutter's Mill when gold was discovered, served two missions in Hawaii, and served at the St. George, Utah, Temple. His life was one of self sacrifice and diligence.
