Abstract
In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared has a vision of Jesus Christ. Christ states, "Never have I showed myself unto man whom I have created" (Ether 3:15). This statement is remarkable because Adam, Eve, Enoch, and Noah had conversed with Deity. Jackson presents some interpretations of the statement and then presents his own: that before this time, Jesus had presented himself in the authority of God the Father, and in the case of his appearance to the brother of Jared he presented himself as Christ, the Father and the Son.
