Abstract
Serweryn Bialer writes of the Russian revolution of 1985 to 1991. He focuses his writings mainly towards the Soviet Union and relates those key events that affect Eastern Europe most. Bialer lays out some frameworks that might be applied to help us understand events: a brief discussion of the ideas presented by Gabriel Almond in his book Crisis, Choice, and Change; and a discussion of the social, political, and economic turmoil that led to the revolution.
