Theodore Dreiser
Abstract
American author Theodore Dreiser is often considered a naturalist. However, Dreiser's later works reveal a more theistic philosophy. A close examination, especially of Dreiser's last two works, reveals that he was a theist who, for a time, explored naturalist thought.
