Abstract
The author examines how the United Nations is an instrument of United States policy. To varying degrees, within the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, and the Secretariat, the United States exerts its influence. Each UN body serves a unique function in which the United States can further its own foreign policy.
