Abstract
In this paper we study the impact of errors and uncertainties in digital elevation modelson the analysis of hazardous mass flows at Galeras volcano in Colombia. The increasing use ofcomputer models and software has made it imperative that the effect of errors in digital elevationmodels which crucially determine the flow characteristics be quantified. We illustrate in this paperthe significant effect of such errors and also attempt to correlate these to flow features.
