Abstract

Monolith 2 is an on-line database written as part of a project that aims to develop processenvelopes for generic treatment of problematic industrial wastes by stabilisation/solidificationwith cementitious binders. The front-end of Monolith 2 is web-based and is made up of a coreapplication written in HTML with Java servlets and Java server pages using NetBeans. This frontendof the system connects to a back-end MySQL database, which implements a complex datamodel described in the paper.
