Abstract

After Beck rids himself of the last dragon stone, his luck and reasoning vanish: Beck demolishes a museum, plunges three school buses into a lake, and is almost killed by his crazed father, a ninja-like cactus, and kamikaze trees. In the midst of this, Beck and Kate discover a secret elevator that descends beneath the Pillage manor to a crystal cave. All these events cause Beck to plant the last dragon stone in the cavern. Unlike times before, Beck keeps his actions hidden from everyone, including Kate. When the stone hatches and three dragons appear, Beck supports their pillaging tendencies. But when the dragons threaten Kate, Beck realizes he must destroy them to save Kate’s life and end the curse.
