About the Contributors Jessie L. Embry is the associate director of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies and an instructor of history at Brigham Young University. She is the author of seven books and over eighty articles. Nearly all of them are based on oral history interviews. She has written on topics ranging from Mormon polygamy to racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
